CFO Kjeld Nielsen is appointed new Chief Executive Officer 

Tenured executive with more than 30 years of experience and CFO at Tvilum since 2019 brings his skills to help Tvilum continue its journey towards sustainable and profitable growth. He replaces CEO Torben Porsholdt who resigns at his own request. 

Faarvang, Denmark – August 17th 2022 – Tvilum announces that Kjeld Nielsen is appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Tvilum, effective immediately.

Kjeld Nielsen replaces Torben Porsholdt who joined Tvilum in November 2017. The change of CEO has been prepared since the autumn of 2021 where Torben approached the Chairman of the board with a wish to hand over the CEO position to his successor within 6-12 months.

Torben emphasizes that he despite turbulent times has been pleased to work together with the team to reconstruct the company after the bankruptcy in 2018 but that it has also been a very tough journey which has made him take his life and especially working life up for consideration. He has come to the conclusion that he in the future also wants to spend his time on other projects and to be part of the job market in a different and more flexible way.

Torben continues his involvement in Tvilum as he remains a shareholder and board member.

Kjeld Nielsen who has many years of executive management experience joined Tvilum as CFO in January 2019 and he therefore knows the company, the organization, the management team, the board of directors and Tvilum's partners very well.

Before joining Tvilum, Kjeld was CFO at JELD-WEN, where he had the overall responsibility for Finance and Business Controlling in Northern Europe - an organization with 3100 employees. Prior to this, he was CFO of DOVISTA (including VELFAC, RATIONEL and others), CEO and CFO of Metso Oy (Recycling) and has worked for Vestas, Johnson Controls, TDC and Arla Foods.
